Public Benefit
Through our people empowerment and enterprise initiative, Bantu Initiative is proud to highlight a scheme whereby its volunteers are offering help in interior decorating - our volunteer Calvin Mancama is able to paint, tile or carpet your floors and do up your garden! We are happy to present tailor made sculpture work also by one of our talented young artists. Contact us for further details.

New Hope Kingdom Kids Relief Fund
This is a Zimbabwe registered charity and has now also successfully registered as a charity with the Charity Commission for England and Wales. Bantu Initiative is proud to have been associated with this success as part of its Africa Hub (see Hubs of Support). Congratulations to Priscilla Choto and the NHKKRF trustees.
Hubs of Support
This is a project funded through an Awards For All grant from the Big Lottery Fund. The project seeks to identify experts who are able to offer voluntary expertise to communities. Hubs of Support are: Africa Hub (projects in Africa) Faith Hub (Projects for Faith Communities) Young Peoples Hub, and the Enterprise Hub (emergent businesses).
Bantu Initiative Zambia
This emergent project is designed to direct support to the most vulnerabe and disadvantaged communities in both Zambia and Zimbabwe.
Voice for Women
This project provided for capacity building support for a new, emergent, community organisation. The Voice for Women, founded by Mrs Colette Bauni, is looking to address problems of abuse, deprivation and poverty faced by women and their families in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Umoja Community Service (UCOS)

Based in Bradford, UCOS first started life as ARHAS. The group focusses support mainly around refugees and asylum seekers, and access to health. However, the group has diversified its range of activities and embraces a wider audience. We congratulate UCOS on achieving charity status.

Fire Ministries International Church

So far, 3 meetings have been held between Bantu Initiative and the leadership of Fire Ministries. Bantu Initiative has already began to deliver support for this Ministry producing a governing document and standard policies to enable best practice.
Charter of African and BME Leaders
This is funded by The Cooperative Membership Community Fund. The project invites community leaders to sign up to a charter pledging their commitment to excellence in service. The pledge of excellence was launched on 6th August and signed by leaders and witnessed by Her Majesty the Queen's Deputy to the Lord Liuetenant of West Yorkshire Major Stan Hardy (Rtd).

Transformative Leadership
BiCC Leeds
The first training session on Transformational Leadership has been held for the Brethren in Christ Church Leeds. It is a 4-week programme based on the Challenging Leaders concept.

Armley Communitea
Voice of Revival Ministries International
Following the successful grant application for an Awards for All award, the Armley Communitea Meet and Meat project was launched on 28th August with the support of Bantu Initiative. This is a monthly get-together bringing the folks and friends of Armley together.


CODESA
ACEP
The African Churches Empowerment Project run by the Community Development Services Alliance (CODESA) came to a close on 31st March 2011. Bantu Initiative's CE coordinated the project.
Grace Faith Ministries
